Actoplus Met is a combination of two oral diabetes medicines that help control blood sugar levels. Actoplus Met is for people with type 2 diabetes who do not use daily insulin injections. This medication is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

13.3 Inactive ingredients
The product shall be packaged in child-proof packaging with the following inactive ingredients:

16. A substance that is authorized for therapeutic use in another jurisdiction and that is not authorized for the treatment of an individual in that other jurisdiction shall be permitted if, before it is produced for distribution in Manitoba, the Minister of Health prescribes a new label, which label must conform to the requirements of this Schedule.
17. A substance may be distributed in a controlled manner if the Minister of Health establishes that it is intended for use therapeutic purposes by persons who are authorized to use controlled substances under section 4 of The Narcotic Control Regulations.
18. The Minister may authorize dispensing of a substance to patient, or class of patients, in the manner and quantities authorized under this Schedule if the Minister receives written authorization from a person authorized to possess, produce or distribute the substance. issuance of these authorization shall be made by the Minister and shall be for a period of not more than 30 days.
19. The Minister may make a written order for the distribution of a substance if the Minister accepts on behalf of the Government Canada, an assessment prepared by independent person that has knowledge of the contents substance under this Schedule. The Minister may delegate powers conferred on him or her under this section to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, health practitioners and others who have demonstrated knowledge and ability in matters related to the administration of controlled substances.
20. The Minister may, notwithstanding subsection 6(2) of The Narcotic Control Regulations, authorize a person to administer substance by means of a rectal suppository if the Minister accepts on behalf of the Government Canada, an assessment prepared by independent person that has knowledge of the contents substance under this Schedule. The Minister may delegate powers conferred on him or her under this section to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, health practitioners and others who have demonstrated knowledge and ability in matters related to the administration of controlled substances.
21. The Minister may accept on behalf of the Government Canada, on behalf of a medical practitioner or other person authorized under this Schedule to administer a substance in prescription form, an assessment prepared by independent person that has knowledge of the contents substance under this Schedule. The Minister may delegate powers conferred on him or her under this section to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, health practitioners and others who have demonstrated knowledge and ability in matters related to the administration of controlled substances.
22. In the event that a physician, nurse, pharmacist, health practitioner or other person is authorized under this Schedule to administer a substance, the physician, nurse, pharmacist, health practitioner or other person shall ensure that all of his or her written prescriptions in relation to the substance are clearly marked with the prescribed name and indications for the prescription.
